Heritage & Historical Scaffolding

At Whalley Scaffolding, when dealing with listed buildings we provide bespoke scaffolding services and we carry out site surveys and safety inspections to ensure we have a full understanding of the specific build requirements. Once installed, the scaffold must be checked at weekly intervals to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and that nothing has been tampered with.

Some examples of Historically significant buildings we deal with are:

  • Churches
  • Grade I and II listed buildings.
  • Structural works
  • House extensions
  • Guttering work
  • Roof work
  • Temporary roofing
Heritage Scaffolding | Blackpool | Preston
Heritage Scaffolding | Blackburn | Burnley

Your property may be a grade II listed building so is always advisable to check with your local planning authority to confirm this before any work takes place by applying for 'Listed Building Consent'. There is an application form which you can download from the local authority website which will also offer advice.

After all works have been completed, the scaffold will be carefully dismantled and removed from site in the safe, careful and considerate manner it was erected in, thus ensuring the building remains undamaged and that safety for both workers and public is maintained at all times.
